An Ireland Free

The Hill of Slane is an historic place in County Meath. It is said St. Patrick lit a bonfire here and in so doing, marked the end of paganism and the beginning of Christianity in Ireland. Given its' history, the Hill of Slane seemed to be an ideal location from which my hope for a lasting peace in Ireland would be realized in the poem "An Ireland Free."
